Every year since 1977, International organisation of Museums (ICOM) has organised International Museum Day. On this day, participating museums plan creative events and activities related to the international Museum Day theme, engage with their public and highlight the importance of the role of Museums as institutions that serve society and its development.

306th Bombardment Museum:”This museum is a classic hidden gem with a superb collection of WWII memorabilia related to the 306th air operations from thurleigh. It also has very good displays of home front artefacts. The volunteers are so welcoming, informative and can make a very good cup of tea.”
